We're seeking a AI & Data Engineer in Quito in [INDUSTRY/PRACTICE] to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY

As Data & AI Engineer, you will support the design, development, and implementation of modern data platforms and AI-enabled solutions that help solve business challenges for our clients.

In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions, while building your expertise across the end-to-end data lifecycle—from data ingestion and transformation to analytics and AI enablement.

YOU WILL:
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of modern data architectures such as data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse solutions.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and data integration processes to support analytics and AI use cases.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, product, and business stakeholders) to support data-driven and AI initiatives.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into technical solutions and data workflows.
  • Document data solutions, pipelines, and processes following best practices.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and insights clearly to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Continuously learn and apply new tools, technologies, and best practices in data engineering and AI.
  • Support senior team members in client engagements, including workshops, analysis, and solution delivery.


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python.
  • Experience building or supporting ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformation Jobs using PySpark / Python, and working with data transformation processes.
  • Familiarity working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake 
  • Familiarity with using cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and their data services (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse).
  • Basic understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and data architecture principles.
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
