As the world's leading change and transformation consultancy, we're helping businesses move from strategy to reality by taking a pragmatic and practical approach to build solutions that last.
We're seeking a Senior Consultant, Management Consulting in Atlanta in our Change Practice to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.
About the role:
Change management is part of our legacy at North Highland, but we're focused on its future. You'll join a community of experienced change practitioners combining proven approaches with new thinking, data, technology, and AI to transform how change is designed and delivered. Our ambition is simple: make change more human, adaptive, measurable, and impactful for our clients.
Here, you won't just apply a methodology. You'll solve complex transformation challenges, develop your craft, contribute your perspective, and help shape how our Change practice evolves. If you're excited about both practicing change management and advancing it, we'd love to meet you.
What you’ll do:
-
Lead a client engagement, owning delivery from initiation to outcome.
-
Understand the client's environment, ecosystem, and industry context, translating a desired outcome or vision into an executable plan that a team can follow and deliver against.
-
Navigate complex client environments, including those with competing priorities or unclear requirements.
-
Build and manage relationships with key client stakeholders, while engaging effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the client as required.
-
Manage the commercial mechanics of the engagement including resourcing, change control, and scoping.
-
Identify and shape business development opportunities within existing accounts, contribute to proposal development and begin to progress opportunities.
-
Articulate the firm's value clearly and connect client needs to potential solutions.
-
Build familiarity with North Highland’s go-to-market strategy and products, and how these can be adapted to new clients.
-
Build team capability through coaching, clear direction, and addressing blockers to performance.
-
Maintain accurate and timely operational data such as timesheets and project updates as the foundation for good decision-making across the firm. Reinforce its importance across the team.
-
Use AI tools to support and accelerate work. Apply critical thinking to all prompts and AI generated outputs. Understand the risks of taking AI output at face value and take full ownership of everything produced, regardless of how it was generated.
What we are looking for
-
Prior experience in management consulting or professional services, acting as engagement lead or equivalent, with accountability for full project delivery.
-
Experience managing the commercial responsibilities of a consulting engagement: margin, invoicing, resourcing, and scoping.
-
Ability to manage senior stakeholders and navigate complex client engagements, sensitive environments and take difficult situations to successful outcomes.
-
Experience leading and developing a consulting team, including performance management and career development of others.
-
Ability to and interest in contributing to business development activity, with evidence of starting to lead pursuits and proposals independently.
For this position specifically:
-
Deliver high-quality change management work across the lifecycle of complex business and technology transformations.
-
Own significant change deliverables and, where appropriate, lead a defined change workstream within a broader transformation program.
-
Translate business and transformation objectives into practical change interventions that help people understand, adopt, and sustain new behaviors and ways of working.
-
Conduct stakeholder, change impact, and readiness analyses, turning findings into actionable recommendations for client leaders and transformation teams.
-
Design and deliver engaging communications, stakeholder experiences, learning interventions, leadership activities, and adoption approaches tailored to distinct audiences and needs.
-
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, confidently facilitating conversations, bringing recommendations forward, and contributing a strong practitioner point of view.
-
Use qualitative and quantitative insights to assess adoption, identify barriers, and adjust change interventions throughout delivery.
-
Work effectively alongside business, technology, product, and program teams in Agile, product-led, and other iterative transformation environments.
-
Experiment with new approaches, including AI-enabled tools, analytics, and emerging change techniques, to make change work more insightful, personalized, efficient, and impactful.
-
Contribute to the growth of our Change practice by sharing ideas, developing reusable approaches and assets, and helping advance our collective craft.
-
Bring hands-on change management experience supporting complex transformation. Experience across retail, CPG, financial services, public sector, or energy is valuable but not required.
-
Prosci or another recognized change management certification is a plus; practical experience applying change principles to real transformation challenges is equally important.
