We're seeking a Director, OD and PM to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our higher education institute client.
*please note, this opportunity is in development stage and, we envisage a start date in early November for an initial 20 weeks' assignment. Applicants will be required to already have unrestricted work permits in place by the start of the project.
SUMMARY
As the Director, OD and PM, you will play a pivotal role in addressing fragmented and siloed data systems (SAP/S4HANA, Power BI, Blackboard, Pure, Slate, etc.) by establishing clear governance, ownership, and stewardship, you will build trust in data and enable consistent, timely, and self-service analytics for decision-making. This will empower leadership and the board to rely on a single source of truth for reporting and strategic decision-making, supporting the institution's shift from pure research to applied innovation and measurable impact.
YOU WILL:

Implement a strategic planning, roadmap development, and risk management framework to align portfolio management and stakeholder engagement

Design and implement a target operating model to drive the EPMO establishment and governance

Overcome cultural resistance and low adoption of previous IT-led projects by enabling a sustainable, evidence-driven culture that accelerates agility and improves outcomes

Support objectives in student success, enrolment management, research and commercialization, financial planning, and impact reporting
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

Extensive experience in leading large-scale organizational development and project management initiatives within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment

Proven track record of successfully implementing data governance and analytics solutions to drive strategic decision-making

Strong understanding of higher education or research institution challenges and the ability to navigate organizational dynamics

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to build trust and drive change

Innovative mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead transformational projects

Relevant advanced degree or certification in a related field
