We're seeking a Manager, Talent Operations in Quito to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY

The Talent Manager is responsible for managing all staffing opportunities and needs in partnership with the Account Teams, Portfolio Leads, Practice Leads, Talent Acquisition and Firm Executives while maintaining profitability and high utilization across the firm.  The Talent Manager will also play a key role in the workforce planning process to maintain appropriate headcount levels and skillsets across the firm as it matches to the demand and financial plan.  

 

YOU WILL: 
 

  • Proactively maintains strong understanding of North Highland's business and skills needed in our capabilities. 

  • In conjunction with Sales Operations, monitor and track Salesforce Opportunities to actively provide resource options of incoming needs from Account Teams. 

  • Collaborate with Client Leads to gain detailed understanding of staffing requirements.  

  • Partner with the Portfolio Lead to understand and support local business and ambitions 

  • Identify appropriate consultants (FTEs and Affiliates) and creating teams where necessary to deliver project work, with the need to scenario plan multiple situations at the same time.

  • Manages consultant and utilization reporting, forecasts and plans in conjunction with Talent Coordinator.  

  • Works with account teams to enable staffing visibility and proactively align consultants with minimal bench time.  

  • Own the Talent Operations process to include the staffing and tracking process, availability and roll-off reporting, tracking for FTEs and Affiliates, inform Client Leads and Client Execs of potential issues and facilitate seamless transition between projects. 

  • Track progression of our people through staffing process on an on-going basis and keep consultants updated as opportunities arise and change for them. 

  • Work with consutlants to have a thorough understanding of their skills and career goals. 

  • Ensure consutlants have updated and completed resumes and skills in Workday.

  • Understand the dynamics of our account teams and client cultures. 

  • Partner with Recruiting, Account Leadership and RM Leadership on hiring needs and routinely prioritizing requisitions as part of wider Workforce Plan 

  • Partner with HR to address any performance concerns or low utilization for individuals.  

  • Work to get ahead of demand, drive consultant utilization and manage bench optimization. 

  • Primary contact for any people related questions/issues in designated area. 

  • Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.  

  • Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to Talent Operations

  • Contributes to development and communications of long-term market workforce plan and forecasts for multi-year growth at the market or business unit level in partnership with leadership. 

  • Works with client account teams within assigned market to understand, support, and provide visibility to successful Talent Operation practices. 

  • Work with Talent Coordinator and account teams on working around PTO but still maximizing our billing.  Assist with exception reporting for any consultant not hitting targets with excessive PTO. 

  • Works with the Talent Coordinator to analyze variance. 

  • Assist with analyzing weekly reports outlining critical issues and future forecasts for the account leaders. Communicate critical issues and forecasts to Talent Operations and Account leaders 

  • Maintain Talent Operations Forecast Notes and Review reporting on a minimum weekly basis.  

  • Responsible for the management of projects, the time that is billed and time that is worked Review PTO taken, criteria met and time planned, PTO and Underutilization 

  • Partner with the  team to ensure all consultant availability data is reflecting reality – one version of the truth. 

  • Partner with Portfolio Billing Team as needed for consultant hours and time submissions/project set up.  

  • Special projects as necessary to represent the Talent Operations team within Global Services.  


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE: 
 

  • 6+ years of related working experience in a professional services or consulting organization 

  • Solid understanding of the consulting business model, understanding of political aspects of the organization and ability to challenge in a constructive manner 

  • Recruiting background 

  • Experience with Salesforce. 

  • Team management experience 

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university 

  • Previous experience of resource management or staffing 

  • Extreme attention to detail.  

  • Ability to work with various levels of people. 

  • Significant analytical and process execution experience 

  • Solid project management and Microsoft tools experience 

  • Demonstrated professional presence, comfortable challenging executives as appropriate 

  • Experience with Workday or similar HCM tool 

  • Strong ability to analyze data trends

  • Exhibit strong resilience and ability to execute against challenges 

  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities to fulfill commitments successfully 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with professional staff, senior level executives and the community at large 

  • Creative thinking and seeking innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems in day to day situations
