MAKE STRATEGY A REALITY | ACCELERATE YOUR GROWTH | CHOOSE YOUR PATH

As the world's leading change and transformation consultancy, we're helping businesses move from strategy to reality by taking a pragmatic and practical approach to build solutions that last.
We're seeking a Project Manager in Quito to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY

We are hiring Manager-level Product Owner / Project Managers to lead delivery of multi-track enterprise modernization programs — migrating legacy integration platforms onto cloud-native architectures.

You will own a delivery track end-to-end: backlog, ceremonies, milestone gates, and acceptance. You will be client-facing and will partner directly with US-based engineering leaders. You will manage a Tech Lead and an Ecuador delivery sub-team. You are the single point of accountability for your track’s milestone delivery and acceptance.

YOU WILL:

  • Own and groom the track backlog in JIRA. Write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Translate business requirements and technical discovery findings into deliverable sprint scope.

  • Prioritize work against fixed-fee phase plans; surface scope-vs-time tradeoffs early and in writing.

  • Facilitate story refinement, sprint planning, and backlog reviews with client engineering leaders and business stakeholders.

  • Steward Definition of Ready and Definition of Done for the track.

  • Track sub-team progress against milestone gate schedules. Own each monthly milestone deliverable and acceptance package.

  • Run Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily standup, refinement, review, retrospective — Central Time aligned with US leadership and the client.

  • Maintain a transparent risk register, dependency log, and RAID. Surface dependencies in real time.

  • Drive monthly milestone sign-off conversations with the client acceptance authority.

  • Own DORA delivery metrics and service-health KPIs for the sub-team.

  • Ensure every PR meets client review SLAs with green quality gates (SonarQube, Snyk, Snyk Evo, Playwright E2E, code coverage).

  • Operate as the primary day-to-day North Highland point of contact for the track.

  • Run weekly status with client engineering leadership. Participate in joint architecture reviews with CIO-level stakeholders.

  • Explain delivery tradeoffs, scope changes, and risk in business language.

  • Represent North Highland professionalism at every client touchpoint.

  • Manage a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer and the assigned Ecuador delivery sub-team (engineers and a track-aligned Product Owner).

  • Conduct weekly 1:1s. Own career growth, performance feedback, and retention for direct reports.

  • Partner across tracks on cross-track dependencies, shared platform readiness, and joint hypercare preparation.

  • Adopt North Highland’s AI tech stack — Claude Code Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, and NH-provided MCP tooling — for story drafting, acceptance criteria generation, backlog refinement, and status reporting. All usage complies with North Highland’s Anthropic Enterprise Agreement.

  • Demonstrate AI-augmented PM/PO workflows to the sub-team and partner tracks.

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • 7+ years of software delivery experience in PM, PO, or hybrid PM/PO roles.

  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience (engineers, POs, or analysts).

  • Proven track record running Agile / Scrum delivery against milestone-gated, fixed-fee engagements.

  • Strong written and verbal English. Direct client collaboration with US-based leaders is daily, not occasional.

  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria for distributed systems, integration platforms, or B2B data exchange workloads.

  • Hands-on proficiency with JIRA (or equivalent), Confluence, and modern PM tooling.

  • Working fluency reading technical artifacts — APIs, data models, sequence diagrams, ADRs — sufficient to lead refinement with senior engineers without a translator.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience modernizing legacy iSeries / AS400 / RPG estates onto cloud-native architectures.

  • Prior delivery of AWS-native C#/.NET microservice platforms.

  • Distribution, supply-chain, food-and-beverage, or grocery industry background.

  • Experience delivering B2B integration / EDI programs (X12, partner onboarding, wave-based cutover playbooks).

  • Experience delivering financial / invoicing platforms, template-driven document generation, or operational data products.

  • CSPO, CSM, SAFe POPM, PMP, or equivalent certification.

  • Experience running AI-assisted product / delivery workflows (Claude Code, Copilot) in production.
