We're seeking a Project Support Officer to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.for one of our Public Sector Government clients.

*please note, this is an initial 3-6 month inside IR35 PAYE umbrella contract that will require hybrid working in London 2 days per week

SUMMARY

As a Project Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and delivery of projects and programmes across the organisation. By applying effective project management methodologies, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders, identify opportunities for business improvement, and ensure the successful rollout of initiatives and associated change activities.

YOU WILL:

  • Establish and maintain systems for effective planning and scheduling

  • Assist in maintaining project controls and producing project reports

  • Manage project files using robust version control

  • Organise key project meetings and provide secretarial support

  • Manage staff as needed, including their development

  • Maintain the stakeholder log and serve as the contact point for project responses to external information requests

  • Liaise with relevant teams to resolve barriers or difficulties, support the adoption of digital working, and assess whether the benefits of change are realised

  • Engage with senior and local managers, as well as other key functions, to manage dependencies and escalate risks and issues effectively


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Some relevant experience in a project support or administrative role, preferably within a government or public sector organisation

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and resolve issues

  • A team player who is comfortable working collaboratively across different business areas

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality project documentation and records


Applicants must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom, without the need for visa sponsorship by North Highland. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided, either now or in the future, for this position.
This is a temporary employee (PAYE) opportunity working via an Umbrella company.
