We're seeking a QA Director, Lead to work in our HHS Practice to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY
North Highland is seeking to hire a QA Director, Lead to help our Public Sector clients optimize the efficiency and reliability of their Medicaid Enterprise System (MES).

YOU WILL:

  • Have experience with integration testing, web services testing, performance testing, load testing, DR testing, Security testing, and Service Virtualization technique

  • Have experience creating strategies and architecting the overall Testing, creating Test Management Strategies

  • Have experience creating strategies for test data management, including data obfuscation

  • Have experience leading multiple release cycles

  • Have experience managing complex test program

  • Have experience with full software project lifecycle including SAFe, Agile, and DevOps

  • Have experience managing test tools and environments

  • Have experience delivering test maturity assessments and implementing improvement plans

  • Have proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts

  • Have proficiency in technical project management leadership and test management

  • Have experience transitioning from legacy systems to new capabilities in hybrid environments

  • Have experience implementing Continuous Integration practices and tooling

 

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Ideally 10+ years experience as a Test Lead/Test Architect

  • 5-10 years of hands-on testing experience within large scale/systems, preferably US Healthcare Payer or similar systems/portfolio with heavy integrations

  • At least 5 yrs of client-facing role.

  • Domain Expertise: MMIS, Healthcare Payer systems, Medicaid/Medicare systems, HIPAA regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)

  • Experience with API testing concepts and tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)

  • Understanding of database concepts and ability to write basic SQL queries

  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python)

  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., XRAY, Zephyr, TestRail, QTest, ALM)

  • Knowledge of bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)

  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete)

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Experience with mobile application testing

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices

  • ISTQB certification or other relevant testing certifications

  • Experience with accessibility testing and security testing concepts

  • Knowledge of usability and user experience (UX) testing principles
