We're seeking a Senior AI & Data Engineer in Quito to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY
 

We are looking for a talented Semi-Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and maintain data solutions that support business needs. You will work on building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting analytics efforts, while enhancing your skills and contributing to impactful projects. 

 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 

• 3-5 years of experience in a data engineering or similar role. 

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB). 

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. 

• Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, DBT). 

• Experience with cloud platforms:  Azure

• Basic understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and architecture principles. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Proficiency in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborating across teams. 

• Flexibility to learn new tools and technologies while managing shifting priorities. 

• Capability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects effectively. 

Desirables: 

• Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop). 

• Experience with version control systems like Git. 

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 

• Basic knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker).
