We're seeking a Strategic Technical Programme Manager (S4HANA) to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our Major Retail Managed Service client

*Please note, this is an initial 3-6 month PAYE umbrella contract that will require onsite working in London 2-3 days per week.

SUMMARY

As a Strategic Technical Programme Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering a transformational Enterprise Resource Planning system integration programme. This role will hold the integrated view across all workstreams, ensuring that the organisation's leadership always has a clear and honest picture of programme status. You will keep the programme coherent and moving at pace, managing dependencies and risks while ensuring that the go-live is not just a technical event but a business-critical success.

YOU WILL:

  • Define and establish governance frameworks and ways of working across the programme

  • Manage dependencies between workstreams and identify, escalate, and mitigate risks proactively

  • Drive business readiness activities and ensure stakeholder alignment across all levels

  • Own cutover planning and execution to ensure a successful go-live

  • Maintain transparent communication with senior leadership on programme health, progress, and challenges

  • Coordinate technical and business teams to ensure integrated delivery

  • Establish quality standards and ensure adherence to programme objectives

  • Lead change management activities to support organisational adoption


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Proven experience in large-scale enterprise system integration programmes

  • Demonstrated expertise in programme management methodologies and best practices

  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning system implementations

  • Experience managing complex technical and business workstreams simultaneously

  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills

  • Ability to identify and resolve interdependencies across multiple teams

  • Proven track record in delivering business transformation initiatives

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business impact

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to influence without direct authority
