We're seeking a Op Model Consultant to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our UK defence client.

Please note, due to the nature of the client and job requirements, an active SC clearance (in process or active in the last 12 months) will be required.

Ideally you will be based within a commutable to Portsmouth or travel to site will be required 1-2 days per week

SUMMARY

As an Operating Model Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of multiple, scaled new capability programmes through rapid implementation. You will work alongside a mission partner to develop and implement flexible operating models that enable effective capability acceleration. Your expertise will directly contribute to building resilient, scalable support structures that adapt to evolving organisational needs and drive meaningful transformation across complex defence environments.

YOU WILL:

• Design and implement operating models that support rapid capability delivery across multiple concurrent programmes

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify organisational requirements and translate these into practical, scalable solutions

• Provide specialist qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) guidance to support the transition to flexible, core-flex staffing models

• Develop frameworks and processes that enable efficient resource allocation and mission partner collaboration

• Conduct analysis of existing structures and recommend improvements to enhance delivery capability

• Support change management activities and stakeholder engagement throughout implementation phases

• Document operating models and create guidance materials for ongoing use

• Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

• Significant experience designing and implementing operating models within complex, large-scale organisations

• Proven track record in defence, public sector, or similar highly regulated environments

• Strong understanding of capability development and programme delivery frameworks

• Experience working with stakeholder groups at multiple organisational levels

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences

• Knowledge of flexible workforce models and mission partner engagement strategies

• Security clearance at the appropriate level or ability to obtain one

• Strong project management and delivery focus

• Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills
