MAKE STRATEGY A REALITY | ACCELERATE YOUR GROWTH | CHOOSE YOUR PATH
As the world's leading change and transformation consultancy, we're helping businesses move from strategy to reality by taking a pragmatic and practical approach to build solutions that last.
We're seeking a PMO - Capacity Planning Manager - for a three-month remote assignment to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.
SUMMARY
As a PMO - Capacity Planning Manager, you will lead the development and ongoing management of workforce and capacity plans across a complex transformation portfolio. You will bring together demand forecasts, resource supply, utilization data, delivery priorities, and financial considerations to give leaders a clear view of current and future capacity. Working closely with business, finance, delivery, and functional leaders, you will turn data into practical resource decisions, establish consistent planning processes and governance, and help ensure the right skills are available at the right time to deliver strategic priorities.
YOU WILL:
-
Define and maintain pod capacity by functioning as the pod operating model rolls out.
-
Build and maintain short- and long-range capacity plans that align resource supply with forecast demand.
-
Create role-, skill-, and function-level demand forecasts using pipeline, portfolio, and delivery data.
-
Analyze headcount, availability, utilization, allocation, vacancies, and capacity constraints.
-
Identify where capacity and delivery risk sit by pod and function, surface problems early, and drive actions before delivery goes off track.
-
Partner with business, finance, HR, talent acquisition, and delivery leaders on hiring, redeployment, contractor, and prioritization decisions.
-
Establish planning assumptions, data standards, governance, review cadences, and decision forums.
-
Provide clear, concise daily reporting to leadership on pod capacity, risks, issues, trends, and recommended actions.
-
Produce executive-ready dashboards and reporting on demand, supply, utilization, constraints, and forecast accuracy.
-
Monitor portfolio health, delivery milestones, dependencies, and resource-related risks through the PMO.
-
Improve planning tools, templates, processes, and data quality to create a reliable single view of capacity.
-
Track plan versus actual results, identify trends, and continuously improve forecasting accuracy and delivery effectiveness.
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
-
5+ years of experience in operations, resourcing, or PMO roles, including capacity planning by function.
-
Experience supporting an operating model or organizational design rollout, ideally involving pods or cross-functional teams.
-
Strong understanding of demand forecasting, resource supply, utilization, allocation, skills planning, and scenario modeling.
-
Experience translating portfolio pipelines and business priorities into actionable workforce requirements.
-
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large or complex data sets, identify trends, and turn findings into clear recommendations.
-
Advanced Excel skills and experience creating dashboards and reports; experience with Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, or resource planning tools is preferred.
-
Ability to produce clear, concise daily reporting for senior leaders, highlighting capacity, risks, issues, and required decisions.
-
Ability to influence senior leaders, challenge assumptions constructively, and facilitate decisions involving competing priorities.
-
Experience partnering with finance, HR, talent acquisition, operations, and delivery teams.
-
Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
-
Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
-
Consulting or large-scale transformation experience preferred.
