We're seeking a Technical Delivery Lead based in London to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.

SUMMARY

As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of complex technical projects for a large scale managed service account. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that exceed client expectations, whilst ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. Your strategic vision and hands-on leadership will directly impact our reputation for excellence and strengthen our position as a trusted partner.

YOU WILL:
 

• Lead all technology delivery activities across Product, Engineering, Testing, Integration and Architecture teams.

• Establish and maintain a single integrated technology delivery plan aligned to programme milestones and business outcomes.

• Drive delivery predictability, transparency and accountability across all workstreams.

• Ensure clear ownership, prioritisation and dependency management across the technology estate.

• Establish robust governance, stage gates and delivery controls across all technology initiatives.

• Own technology delivery reporting, risks, issues, dependencies and executive escalation processes.

• Enforce release governance and scope control disciplines.

• Ensure Design Authority and architecture review processes are consistently applied.

• Own technology delivery performance of strategic partners.

• Implement objective performance measures covering quality, velocity, predictability and value delivery.

• Drive continuous improvement and accountability across partner organisations.

• Provide recommendations regarding resourcing, capability improvement and commercial optimisation.

• Partner with Enterprise and Solution Architecture functions to ensure coherent end-to-end solutions.

• Drive improvements in maintainability, supportability, scalability and operational resilience.

• Ensure appropriate technical standards, documentation and quality controls are in place.

• Lead remediation of technical debt and delivery process weaknesses impacting programme outcomes.

• Translate programme strategy into executable technology roadmaps.

• Drive prioritisation of technology investment to maximise business value and programme outcomes.

• Balance delivery of mandatory programme commitments, platform stabilisation and strategic enhancements.

• Ensure delivery plans remain aligned to programme objectives, budget and capacity constraints.

• Act as the senior technology delivery representative within programme governance forums.

• Build strong relationships across Product, Operations, Business Transformation, Service Operations and Executive Leadership.

• Provide clear communication on delivery status, risks and strategic recommendations.

• Support executive decision making through fact-based reporting and insight.

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

• Proven success leading technology delivery within large-scale global transformation programmes

• Experience managing complex multi-vendor technology environments

• Strong background in software delivery, engineering governance and programme execution

• Demonstrable experience establishing delivery controls, integrated planning and executive reporting

• Strong understanding of architecture governance, release management and quality engineering

• Experience recovering challenged programmes and improving delivery performance

• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills

• Ability to lead through influence across matrixed global organisations

This is an approximate 6 month temporary employee inside IR35 (PAYE) opportunity working via an Umbrella company, employed by North Highland and contracted to a confidential client engagement.
