We're seeking a AI & Data Engineer in Quito in

SUMMARY


You'll design, build, and deliver data and AI solutions that solve real business problems for our clients. This role is a strong fit for someone solid in Python and SQL, curious about AI and data, and ready to grow in a fast-paced consulting setting.

YOU WILL:
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that move, transform, and prepare data for client analytics and AI use cases
  • Write clean, well-documented Python and SQL code to support data ingestion, transformation, and validation tasks
  • Support the preparation and processing of unstructured data for NLP and AI use cases, including text chunking, embedding generation, and vector storage
  • Participate in client meetings and working sessions, translating client requirements into technical tasks and communicating progress clearly to teammates and stakeholders


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering and/or AI engineering, with a solid command of Python (pandas, PySpark) and SQL
  • Foundational understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including NLP fundamentals such as text chunking, embedding models, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Familiarity with data pipeline concepts (ETL/ELT, batch processing, data transformation) and version control tools, particularly Git
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, SageMaker, Bedrock) or Snowflake, including awareness of native AI/ML capabilities such as Cortex AI
