We're seeking a Business Analyst to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our Central Government client

*please note, this is an initial 3-6 month inside IR35 PAYE umbrella contract that will require up to 3 days working onsite in London. Given the nature of the role, a valid DV clearance used in the last 12 months will be required. Applicants must also be a UK national or have dual citizenship

SUMMARY

As a Business Analyst, you will lead small to medium projects and support larger initiatives by ensuring business and user needs are clearly understood and translated into well-defined requirements. You will work independently within multidisciplinary teams, managing stakeholder relationships, building consensus, and resolving conflicting needs through clear and regular communication.


YOU WILL:

  • Engage and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and building consensus across diverse groups

  • Elicit, analyse, and validate business and user needs, resolving conflicts and defining clear requirements

  • Translate needs into structured artefacts such as problem statements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with full traceability

  • Use structured analysis techniques to understand context, identify root causes, and evaluate options with clear recommendations

  • Model and analyse business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  • Support delivery and testing activities by defining acceptance criteria, reviewing outputs, and validating that requirements are met

  • Work within delivery methodologies and multidisciplinary teams, adapting approaches while contributing to continuous improvement and best practice sharing


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and facilitate consensus

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and evaluation of options

  • Ability to define, structure, and manage requirements clearly, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability

  • Competence in business process, systems, and data analysis to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  • Adaptability in working within different delivery methodologies, collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary teams

  • Relevant experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role

  • Proficiency in requirements management tools and techniques

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
