We're seeking a Banking Audit/Operations Consultant. This will be a 6 month + Remote contract position.
SUMMARY
Exciting opportunity for a Banking Audit/Operations Consultant! This is a 6 month+ contract position that will be fully remote.
Opportunity requires banking operations, consulting, internal audit, risk management, compliance, accounting, data analysis, or controls testing experience with Foundational banking-product knowledge, with direct experience in at least one product area below preferred:
Trade Finance: Servicing of Standby Letters of Credit, Documentary Letters of Credit and Advising Letters of Credit.
Supply Chain Finance: Financing payables receivables, settlement, and reconciliation.
Payments: Domestic and cross-border payments, related USD and Foreign Currency payments processing in the US market including flows with an institution and the FED, CHIPS and corresponding clearing entities.
Capital Markets: Execution workflow management including the middle office and back office management of Repos, Triparty, equities within flows to external agencies including DTCC and custodial clearing entities.
Commercial Lending: Bilateral and syndicated loan origination, underwriting, approval, documentation, booking, funding, servicing, and payoff.
Duties will include:
- Support process documentation, transaction analysis, controls testing, evidence review, and project reporting. Builds the detailed, evidence-based workpapers supporting review conclusions.
- Maintain project trackers, documentation requests, testing workpapers, open items, and supporting materials.
- Execute sample-based testing, inspects supporting evidence, documents results, and escalates missing or inconsistent evidence.
- Organize supporting evidence and assists with drafting findings, risk implications, root causes, and recommendations.
- Prepare testing summaries, charts, issue logs, heatmaps, and project-status materials.
- Perform assigned analysis and testing and maintains complete, organized, evidence-based workpapers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, process mapping, and controls documentation tools
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, or a related field
We strive to offer competitive compensation and benefits while maintaining flexibility for both the employee and the North Highland. Total Rewards associated with this position include an hourly rate from: $90 - 120/Per hour as well as a basic benefits package for temporary employees and paid time off (PTO).
