We're seeking a HR Project Manager with a background in Employee or Industrial relations to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for our retail client

*please note, this is an initial 3-4 month PAYE Umbrella contract that will require 2-3 days working onsite in London.

SUMMARY

As the HR Project Manager (Employee/Industrial Relations), you will provide critical project management support to deliver a complex HR initiative on time, within budget, and to the required scope. Your experience in managing projects with a focus on employment rights, employee/industrial relations, and complex organizational dynamics will be instrumental in driving this important initiative forward.

YOU WILL:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities and deliverables of the HR project, ensuring it stays on track and meets the defined goals

  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including senior HR leaders, to coordinate efforts and communicate progress

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of employment rights legislation, particularly the upcoming changes to the Employment Rights Act (2025)

  • Apply your expertise in navigating complex employee/industrial relations, including experience with trade union recognition agreements and tripartite arrangements

  • Utilize your exceptional project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor the project, addressing any issues or risks that arise

  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement solutions that meet the needs of the organization


IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Significant experience as a project manager in a complex HR or employee relations environment

  • In-depth knowledge of employment rights legislation and the practical application of changes in a large, unionized organization

  •  Familiarity with trade union engagement and recognition frameworks, as well as experience working with similar representative bodies

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive employee relations topics

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team

  •  A relevant degree or professional certification in human resources, industrial relations, or a related field
