We're seeking a Global HR & Compliance Manager in our Atlanta, GA office to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.
SUMMARY:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for global policies & handbooks, background checks (including checks related to RFPs), internal/external audits, Equal Employment/OFCCP compliance (AAP, EEO, Vets, CA Pay Data), laws/regulations that impact firm employment practices, global/federal/state compliance policies. Provide advice and guidance, tools, and resources, as required to HR teams and business divisions in executing our compliance programs. Includes auditing, developing improvement and training plans, implementing new plans, assisting with external audits, providing reports to management, measuring improvements, and assisting with implementing measures to ensure compliance with related laws and regulations.
YOU WILL:

Work closely with the Legal team for employment-related issues concerning laws, regulations, and compliance, as well as communicating such laws and company impacts to human resources, management and employees as needed.

Ensure HR compliance to state and federal regulations such as FLSA, FCRA, OFCCP, state sick/leave laws, etc., and support HR team in creating compliant processes.

Serve as a consultant to the HR Team and the business on federal contractor obligations.

Provide guidance to the business during the pursuit and proposal stage of a contract regarding HR Labor and Employment topics related to EEO, AAP, background checks, data privacy.

Manage compliance program including tracking trends, identifying gaps, and implementing and maintaining communications, systems, processes, and policies.

Stay up to date with legal and regulatory changes and communicate the impact on the organization.

Provide consultation to HR Team, leaders, and employees on the interpretation and/or application of company HR policies and procedures to ensure consistent and fair policy/procedures application.

Initiates recommendations for appropriate measures to address underlying systemic problems/issues to include suggestions on HR policy clarification or development, appropriate training, or other development interventions.

Oversee pre-selection activities, including drug testing; reference checks, etc., to ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Ensure all new hires and existing associates possess proper employment eligibility verifications.

Develops, analyses, maintains, updates, and revises all HR policies, manuals (employee handbook), forms and documents; notifies appropriate individuals of changes, as appropriate.

Ensures human resources regulatory compliance in all states and countries in which the firm operates. Keeps current on new and pending legislation and regulations and takes timely and appropriate action so HR is prepared and compliant when new regulations and legislation become effective, including office Federal and State Labor Law posters and background check policies.

Manages selection, review, negotiation of agreements and relationships with new vendors/agencies as requested by Director of HR including Background Check, Labor Law Postings, Immigration attorneys, OFCCP Compliance, Compliance Hotline, etc.

Manages international hire visa processing by advising partners, maintaining required documentation, and acting as liaison with immigration attorney, attorney recruiting and candidate/employee for information. Prepares documents as needed for government submission.

Manages the yearly Compliance Training program for Anti-Harassment and the Ethics Compliance Hotline for the Firm to ensure personnel receive training, answers to questions and that closure to any hotline allegations are managed in a timely manner.

Partners with local counsel in Romania, South Africa, KSA, Ecuador, Canada, UK, and other global markets as we expand.

AAP/EEO/Vets reporting – involved in our annual reporting requirements in compliance with the OFCCP.

Review MSA’s/RFP’s background check requirements – various requests from legal to look at MSAs/RFPs to review backgrounds checks.

Manage vendor relationships with external vendors related to background checks, immigration, etc.

Assist with various surveys and audit requests.

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
-
Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or related field).

Minimum of 8+ years of previous Employment or Human Resources Reporting or Compliance experience or functional expertise required.
-
Experience with HRIS (preferably Workday) and ATS systems, specifically pulling reports.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication and advocacy skills; ability to interface and communicate effectively and diplomatically with all levels of personnel including individuals in many distinct functions and business units.

Experience with OFCCP compliance including the creation and implementation of Affirmative Action Plan.
-
Experience creating, maintaining, and executing best practice policies.

Expert level experience with Immigration/visa sponsorship and laws

Global experience – preferred UK, EMEA, and Central and South America

Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulatory and reporting requirements, pay equity, Gender Pay Gap, and reporting requirements, etc.

Working knowledge regarding the creation and implementation of Affirmative Action Plans, including experience with the audit of AAPs.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with managers and colleagues at all levels within the organization.

Experience and ability to collect, interpret, and identify relevance of compliance-related information from multiple sources. Ability to review data and conduct analysis to determine applicable trends and make recommendations.

Strong presentation skills and facilitation experience.

Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.

Strong organizational, attention to detail and time management skills necessary to manage multiple assignments in a rapidly changing environment.

Discretion and confidentiality are essential for this position.

Advanced MS Excel skills, specifically experience with pivot tables.

Reports, VETS-4212 Reports, California Pay Data Reports, Illinois Equal Pay Reports, and various other state and federal compliance reports.
