We're seeking a contract part time Training Consultant in Portland - Office in our retail practice. to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact. 9-month assignment, part-time 20 hours per week, 2-3 days onsite in Portland, OR.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a Training Consultant to drive adoption and success of a major business transformation program. In this role, you will develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy that enables teams to embrace new processes and systems, ultimately accelerating time-to-market and organizational effectiveness. Your expertise will be instrumental in bridging the gap between technical change and people readiness, ensuring smooth transition and sustained engagement across the business.
YOU WILL:

Design and deliver customized training programs tailored to diverse organizational levels and learning needs

Create instructional materials and learning resources that support knowledge retention and practical application

Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and training requirements across the business

Manage the full training lifecycle, from planning and development through delivery and evaluation

Work collaboratively with project stakeholders and leadership to align training initiatives with business objectives

Facilitate change management activities to support organizational adoption and cultural transformation

Monitor training effectiveness and adjust delivery methods based on participant feedback and performance metrics

Provide on-site support and coaching to ensure successful implementation and embedding of new ways of working.
IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

Proven experience in learning and development, instructional design, or corporate training delivery

Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale transformation or change management programs

Strong background in designing and delivering training for process improvements or new system implementations

Experience working in professional services, consulting, or matrix-driven organizations

Track record of delivering training within budget constraints and tight timelines

Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences at all levels

Problem-solving mindset with adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments

Portfolio or examples of training materials and program outcomes
